I’m currently in the process of planning my wedding (and way ahead of the game).
General feel I wanted to aim for: Fall/winter themed, and elegant but homey.
For dinner, we are doing a roasted turkey dinner. It’s a fun comfort food, fits right in with the season, and a little different from the typical chicken and beef wedding dish.
Keeping with the theme, instead of a wedding cake, we’re going to serve an assortment of pies! Pumpkin, apple, pecan, cherry, you name it.
As far as colors and decor, we’re doing lots of rich fall colors, with deep reds being the dominant color.
Flowers would be along these lines:
Hopefully lots of warm, inviting, twinkling lights…
Okay, maybe not that many, but you get it.
And our reception venue has a fire place, so I’m sure we’ll be utilizing that. :)
As far as things that could go wrong, well…I’m not ready to think about that just yet.
Goin’ all out warm-and-cozy for the Puckett/Butz Wedding.
373 days to go…. *realizes how far away that is and sobs*
